Punk, at it's start, was a modest thing comprising of a few musicians who played small venues with a small audience. Disenfranchised youth jaded by the times and the variety of crises that they grew up with wrote hard, fast songs to communicate this. The start of the Emo Punk Haircuts movement can be traced to the mid to late 70's.
